"The greatest madness in life is to leave everything as it is and at the same time hope that something will change."
This quote is attributed to Albert Einstein

For over 20 years, everything went according to plan.
After graduating from high school, a deep yearning drew me out into the world, and I spent one of the most transformative years of my life in Pamplona in northern Spain.
That same yearning, with the prospect of extensive travel and research, led me to study geosciences in Göttingen, and after graduating in 2012, to the Greenland ice sheet.
A "dream job"—a job that, by definition, includes permanent employment, a very good salary, social security, the prospect of a good pension, and further retirement provisions—stopped my search (for the time being), and I worked for five years as a geologist in the field of oil and gas exploration for one of the largest companies in the industry in Germany.
Meanwhile, my still unfulfilled longing led me to yoga. The introspection, the subtle shift in perception, gradually brought questions about my life to light, which I skillfully ignored.

Something's wrong... with me?
For years I was burned out and felt empty; my nervous system was constantly on edge. I increasingly struggled to cope in the environment I had chosen for myself. Over time, I lost more and more joy in what I did.
Recognizing that I am highly sensitive in 2017 was a first turning point in my life. It helped me to understand and categorize some things—but this realization didn't yet give me the ability to take control of my life. And so, for some time, I continued as I always had.
Looking back: In recent years, I've given workshops on this topic of high sensitivity. Ultimately, however, it doesn't matter whether we're dealing with high sensitivity, ADHD, or both—the growing awareness of these aspects within ourselves shows how important it is to consider the connections between sensitivity, feeling overwhelmed, and social withdrawal in society, and how these are often closely intertwined with a stagnant sense of well-being and the potential for illness.

For years I just functioned,
but felt completely alienated from myself.
It's astonishing how long we can function while gradually distancing ourselves from our true selves.
My skillful ignoring of the aforementioned symptoms led to personal setbacks, burnout, and depression. This was a dark and profound period that deeply shaped me, as I realized the consequences of not listening to myself, to my body, but instead subordinating my discomfort to fulfilling external expectations—and especially internal ones—to my own.
After five years in my first job, I resigned from my permanent position in 2018 and embarked on another professional journey, working as a geology lecturer on expedition cruise ships in the Arctic and Antarctic.
A touch of adventure filled my heart. You can find impressions of my time as a geologist
here.
Photos from this period were featured in the
KOSMOS polar photo exhibition in Warburg, Westphalia, in 2024.
After 2020, I actually tried to find employment again, this time in the public sector and part-time.
This time, however, my body rebelled much faster—rheumatism and a recurring bout of depression posed the now unmistakable question, "What are you doing?!"—and this time, I could not react the question any longer.
In 2022, we decided on a different life.
In 2024, we emigrated to Crete. (This link will take you to a
9-month Crete diary, in German language.)

EVERYTHING begins with a decision.
Of course, relocating your life to a different place doesn't automatically solve all the issues and problems you carry with you. This always requires conscious reflection.
However, in Crete, I found the necessary space to clear things up and create a new life.
Since 2024, I've been offering workshops and retreats here, working online and in person with individual sessions, and writing short stories and a novel.
Since 2025, I've also been a proud partner with RINGANA, building an international team of women who are empowering themselves to live free, self-determined lives. You can find more information

SOULithia® did not originate from a business plan, but from a turning point.
Sometimes there are no words for what we are touched by in life. For that which flows through us, when we are unable to grasp it. All of this can be expressed through SOULithia®.
An intuitive, creative moment that arises from the connection with the deep being of your self and in the expression of your own truth.
Over the years, I realized that
simply teaching yoga wasn't enough for me. I always wanted to go deeper, to offer participants a more profound experience, to open a door to one of the most important encounters life can offer—an encounter with themselves.
This desire quickly led me to realize that I would combine everything I had learned so far. And so, SOUlithia® was born—this unique fusion that, in addition to Kundalini Yoga and meditation, also connects ThetaHealing® and the creative side within us, while the universal principles of Karam Kriya work in the background.
I registered SOUlithia® as an EU trademark in 2025.
With SOUlithia®, a space has been created where the inner voice can be heard again, where one's own truth can find its place once more.

"The greatest constant
in life is change."
CHANGE
Life has taught me that there's no point in being afraid of it.
Just as pointless is clinging to the illusion that we have everything under control,
and can control life.
It's human nature that we sometimes try anyway.
And that we occasionally fail due to the futility of this endeavor.
Today I know that change happens, all by itself.
The only question is how we deal with it.
Consciously shaping change.
Going deeper.
